Monica Londoño, the artist, skillfully works in the old technique of plain Tafetan. Shapes and forms that emulate the reality of nature. Crossed, interlaced, entorched, tightened, violent and assembled threads, inspired not in uplholstery of others, but in the twist and turns of urban tree textures, beings with which she has kept a dialogue and consideration, and whose tree trunks are prisioners of cement and the irritating metal fences. Monica Londoño trabaja en la vieja técnica de tafetán simple unas formas que procuran emular con la verdad de la naturaleza. Cruza, entrelaza, entorcha, tensiona, violenta y ensambla los hilos, inspirada no en las obras de tapicería de otros, sino en las torsiones de los árboles urbanos, seres con los que siempre ha mantenido diálogo y conmiseración, y cuyos troncos prisioneros del cemento y de la reja la irritan.
